Health Screening for Cancer Survivors
Lee Gyeong-Sil

Park Sang-Min
Abstract
The advances in cancer screening and therapeutics have facilitated the early detection and treatment of cancer, resulting in decreased cancer mortality and increased life expectancy for cancer survivors. However, the risk of chronic diseases and second primary cancers is higher in cancer survivors than in the general population. Herein, we have reviewed the health-related problems of cancer survivors and suggest screening for the early detection of risk factors for chronic diseases and second primary cancers, including alcohol use, smoking, physical activity level, nutrition status, obesity or underweight, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, and anemia.
